DCC's Preschool Program is Officially a Uniformed Program!!
Our Preschool Program has officially become a uniformed program! Our little learners looked so sharp in their new uniforms. They were so excited and comfortable, proudly showing off their new looks. Wearing a uniform helps build a sense of unity, confidence, and belonging as they continue to grow in faith and learning!
DCC's Staff and Family participated in the Making Strides of Greater Dayton 5K Walk!
It was truly a great day in the community for a great cause as our DCC family showed up strong at the Making Strides of Greater Dayton 5K Walk. Together, we stood to honor survivors, support fighters, and remember those we’ve lost.
Such an inspiring sight to see so many come together and we’re so proud to be part of a community that continues to spread hope, strength, and love!
Harvest Festival Memories!
Our DCC family had such a wonderful time at this year’s Harvest Festival! Each station gave our children chances to grow, explore, and celebrate the season. At the Caramel Apple station, Ms. Jalisa guided children as they used sensory-motor skills to decorate apples and engage in all five senses. The Hay Maze with Ms. Marcie encouraged cognitive and strategic thinking while building gross motor skills through play. Pumpkin Decorating with Ms. Jazmynn sparked creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Thank you to Preschool Promise for donating books that Ms. Vanesha & Ms. Debbie shared with families along with harvest party favors!
A big shoutout to our Harvest Festival Committee for the planning, providing decor, and leading stations. This event blossomed into a beautiful celebration for our children and families- we’re so grateful to everyone who made it happen!
Youth Worker Appreciation!
Our youth workers have been working extremely hard over the summer and to show our appreciation we ended their final days with a surprise pizza party! We appreciate all the time they have spent helping around the classrooms and building connections with our littles.

Faculty Volunteer Spotlight!
Our very own Project Manager, Mrs. Priscilla Jones, proudly represented Dayton Christian Center at the Inyah Ford Memorial YOUTH EXPLOSION, hosted by KAMI Dayton and RAMCO. This special event celebrated the life and legacy of a young woman through uplifting ministry, family fun, and valuable community resources. God bless the family of Inyah M. Ford.
Priscilla Courtney shared, “It was a great way to meet new parents and their little ones. Let’s keep the referrals coming in and sharing how great Dayton Christian Center is!”
Rev. Dr. Marva's Surprise Retirement Celebration
After 8 incredible years of faithful service, we celebrated the retirement of our beloved Spiritual Director, Rev. Dr. Marva O. Hughes! Her unwavering commitment to keeping our center rooted in faith has left a lasting impact on our children, families, and staff. From heartfelt conversations to leading praise and worship, she has poured love, wisdom, and spiritual guidance into every moment. Rev. Marva was gifted a Bible filled with faculty favorite scriptures highlighted and a special memory book created by our preschoolers which captured the joyous moments they shared during her visits into the classrooms. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your light will continue to shine through every heart you've touched.
Father's Day BBQ
DCC family wishes a heartfelt HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all the incredible dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures who continue to pour love, wisdom, and guidance into our children's lives. Our Father’s Day BBQ was not only fun and food, but it was a celebration of all you do! Your constant support and presence leave such a lasting impact, and we were truly grateful to see the joy you bring your child as we walk along side you in this journey! Thank you for being such a valued part of our DCC family. We appreciate all you do- today and everyday!
Community Planting Event
At Dayton Christian Center, we hold academics in high regard, but our hearts are rooted in building intentional connections with our families and community. Events like this help nurture the authentic relationships that strengthen our kids’ growth in every way. The kiddos kicked off the event by watching a planting video and learning the basic steps from our amazing Ms. Vanesha. At an event full of learning, laughter, and lots of dirt under little fingernails watching the kids’ excitement grow as they planted their own seeds was truly heartwarming!
A huge shoutout to our Planning Committee: Mrs. Priscilla, Ms. Jalisa, Ms. Vanesha, Michael, and all the wonderful parent/family volunteers . You made this event not only possible, but meaningful- the DCC family truly appreciates you!
Congrats 2025 Preschool Graduates
Congratulations to our amazing graduates, Freya & Malachi! We’re so proud to celebrate their accomplishments at our Preschool Graduation and Move-Up Ceremony. These bright stars are officially Kindergarten Ready and we wish them well on their academic journeys!

Family Easter Egg Hunt 2025
Our Family Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success! We had such a great time with all the families enjoying games, crafts, and a little friendly competition. A huge shoutout to our amazing Engagement & Development Team, the wonderful parent volunteers, and Preschool Promise who helped make the event so special.
