Dayton Christian Center's Service Project: Supporting Dayton Children’s Hospital with Handmade “Wish You Well” Gifts

Dayton Christian Center was honored to share some love and encouragement with the littles at Dayton Children's Hospital! On July 31st, our Engagement Team and Mrs. Jazmynn had the pleasure of meeting with Kelly Rowe, Child Life Manager, and Jaylen Lovett, Child Life Assistant, to deliver a specially handmade collage filled with heartfelt well wishes from our school agers and staff. We also donated 25 individually wrapped craft packages to bring a little creativity and comfort to the children during their stays.

This project was part of a summer-long focus on empathy and conscious discipline, led by our amazing Family Engagement Coordinator, Ms. Jalisa. Through hands-on activities and discussions, our school agers learned about the importance of caring for others and shared their support by making get well cards and signing the collage with encouraging messages.

A big thank you to all DCC staff who participated, and a special shoutout to Mrs. Jazmynn, Mrs. Priscilla Courtney, and Ms. Jalisa for making this meaningful community service project come to life!
